Michael has over a decade of experience providing speech and language services to children and adolescents. His initial exposure to the field was through a summer camp for children with Muscular Dystrophy, igniting a passion for serving children with disabilities that has deepened over time.
Michael earned his Masters of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, marking the foundation for a diverse range of experiences in school, clinical, and research settings. His professional background includes providing school-based speech/language services, delivering educational support services, contributing to translational research for public preschool programs, coordinating research grants, and assisting in the management of clinical treatment fidelity.
Having worked at the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin and the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, Michael provided valuable technical assistance to school and community partners. He actively participated in and contributed to research funded by prestigious institutions such as the National Institute of Health and the Institute of Educational Sciences. Through Peake Speech Therapy & Consulting, Michael is dedicated to offering families and professionals transformative care which impacts their ability to connect, relate with others, and participate in all aspects of their everyday life.
